about us: Core Council
In order to support our community’s growth and operations in a way consistent with the Global Heart Vision, we operate with a Core Council. The Core Council serves a function similar to a corporate board of trustees.

The Core Council is the final decision-making body for the community. It is supported by five different service groups, also called “Cores.” They are:

The Executive Core
Is made up of the Chair, the Co-Chair, the Treasurer, and the Secretary. The four offices are selected by a vote from congregation members. The Community Spiritual Leader is a voting member of the Core Council.

The Nominating Core (NC)
Seeks out the most qualified candidates for each elected position to be filled on the Executive C.O.R.E. Council, the Vision Core, and the Nominating Core. Prior to our annual community meeting, the Nominating Core prepares a biographical guide correlating the qualities of the nominees with the qualifications as stated in the Organizational Design Model, and obtains the written consent to serve of each nominee, as well as an endorsement from our Community Spiritual Leader prior to the community election.  The Nominating Core currently does not have representation on the C.O.R.E. Council, nor is the Nominating Core coordinator a voting member of the C.O.R.E. Council; however, there is a direct liaison with the Nominating Core to either the Chair or the Co-Chair of the C.O.R.E. Council.
