Prerequisites for Advanced Consciousness Studies

SIX REQUIRED COURSES: Any course taken more than 5 years prior to entry to Advanced Consciousness Studies I will not apply. The 5+ year old class, or another in the same category where applicable, needs to be repeated. The same class may be taken for the REVIEW price. (AKA Audit)

1. Prerequisite: FOUNDATIONS of SoM or BEYOND LIMITS-
2. SPIRITUAL PRACTICES FOR DAILY LIVING (Treatment and Meditation) or THE POWER OF YOUR WORD
3. The ESSENTIAL ERNEST HOLMES
4. SELF MASTERY
5. ROOTS of Science of Mind or FROM WHENCE WE CAME
6. Elective- choose from all other core classes, including HEART- MIND-BODY CONNECTION, MEDITATION is More Than You Think, PRACTICAL MYSTICISM, VISIONING, CREATIVE PROCESS IN THE INDIVIUDAL, FINANCIAL FREEDOM, THE EDINBURGH LECTURES.

Completion of ACS is required for entry to Professional Practitioner Studies. Class descriptions may be found at the end of the “Core Classes” page.

All classes are developed and approved by the Education Department of Centers for Spiritual Living as part of the pathway to licensure as a Professional Prayer Practitioner. Completion of YEAR 1, ADVANCED CONSCIOUSNESS STUDIES, is the pre-requisite course for Professional Practitioner Studies. The RScP designation signifies the license in good standing of the Religious Science Practitioner.

The Advanced Consciousness Studies application process includes a self-reflection questionnaire, your certificated class completion history and an interview. Interviews are conducted in June and July annually.

Advanced Consciousness Studies (ACS 1)

This 30-week course takes the student on a deep journey of self discovery, focusing on a keen understanding of our teaching and applying spiritual principles. Students continue their mastery of life through personal responsibility, the power of choice, and structured spiritual practices. Through reading, reflective writing, affirmative prayer and classroom exercises, students develop a moment by moment awareness of what it means to live a spiritual life. (A minimum of six completed classes and an interview are required prior to enrolling. Offered once per year beginning in September and ending in May.)

Professional Practitioner Studies (ACS 2)

In this course, you will learn the necessary skills for working with clients and the application of spiritual principles in human conditions through expanded use of affirmative prayer. Students deepen their role of selfless service to our spiritual community and hone the consciousness of a healing presence. Successful completion of this 30 week course with written and oral exams culminates in licensing as a Professional Prayer Practitioner (RScP) with Centers for Spiritual Living.
