What is a Practitioner?

A Religious Science Practitioner (RscP) is trained to heal others by revealing the truth of their being. Ernest Holmes defines a Religious Science Practitioner as "The one who attempts to heal themselves or another through a recognition of the creative power of Mind and the ever availability of Good... The professional mental and spiritual practitioner is one who has dedicated their life — their time, their energies, their intelligence — to helping others, through mental and spiritual means and methods."

Religious Science Practitioners (RscP) have spent four years training in the Science of Mind philosophy and the use of Spiritual Mind Treatment. They are licensed by the United Center for Spiritual Living after passing a written and oral examination. Currently, the OCSL community includes over 65 Practitioners.

What do they do?
Practitioners work one-on-one with clients to help them resolve problems, find answers, and reveal and manifest the truth of their being.

Whatever the client brings to the practitioner is held in strict confidence and trust. There is a fee involved for their services because of the time and skills involved on the part of the practitioner.

How do I contact a Practitioner?

  • Each Saturday morning from 10:00 am to noon, Practitioners are available to serve with Spiritual Counsel and Prayer. No appointments required.
  • You can meet Practitioners during Upper Room Service after each Sunday Service for a brief Prayer.
  • You can make an appointment with a Practitioner by contacting one via phone or email (please see the directory).
