spiritual practices: Affirmation
Affirmations are statements we make about our being and our lives. The word affirmation means “something validated, made firm.”

An affirmation is a desired state in present-tense terms as if it is already manifest in our lives. With affirmations we can reprogram our minds as if we are filling a glass of dark, cloudy water, drop by drop, with clear water.

Writing Affirmations

  • Make them personal: I am . . . I know . . . I let . . .
  • Make them short (one sentence if possible)
  • Write them in the present tense; never use the past or future tense
  • Make the vocabulary personal to you; use your own manner of speaking
  • Be specific, but do not outline; state what but not how

July, 2010 Affirmations

July 4 "Freedom Is Not Free"

God in me, as me, is me, therefore, I am well and strong in Spirit, Mind and Body right here and right now.

Today I enter into my divine inheritance. I shake my thought clear from the belief that external conditions are imposed upon me. I am free.

July 11 "Freedom and Responsibility"

God in me, as me, is me, therefore, I am well and strong in Spirit, Mind and Body right here and right now.

My mind and spirit is the echo of Spirit Itself. I am responsible for all that I feely choose. As I joyfully embrace this truth, I am free and at peace.

July 18 "Do we Have Choice?" Guest Speaker: Dr. Mary Morrissey

God in me, as me, is me, therefore, I am well and strong in Spirit, Mind and Body right here and right now.

Today I choose to embrace the power of intention and release all sense of limitation. In the realization that God is my life, I accept and embrace infinite good. I accept my inherent freedom as a divine being.

July 25 "Mastery" Guest Speaker: Rev. Dr. Eloise Oliver

God in me, as me, is me, therefore, I am well and strong in Spirit, Mind and Body right here and right now.

The Spirit within me makes all things new. Every negative thought or condition is erased from my experience. I walk in the joy and freedom of ever-increasing good.
