On this Thanksgiving Eve, I find myself thinking about how grateful that I am. Though I have so much to be grateful for, tonight what occupies my mind and my heart is you.
In just five short months – five full, rich, challenging, fulfilling, exhausting, satisfying, amazing months – you have invited me, welcomed me, educated me, supported me, surprised and delighted me in a thousand different ways. You have forgiven and been gentle with me when I bumped into things. You have encouraged and affirmed and prayed powerful and beautiful prayers for me.
You have been patient, willing to suspended judgement for just long enough to begin to know my heartfelt desire… to be the best minister of our village that I can be. Words really cannot express… how grateful I am.
So, suffice it to say, thank you, to you – the village, and the village people – that I have come to love. Thank you. I love you. And I am so, very, grateful for you.
With great love and gratitude,
